Delete your account and data

You can delete your HexRun account at any time. Deletion is permanent: your cells, duels, badges and ranking history can't be restored.

Delete in the app (recommended)

  1. Open HexRun and tap your avatar on the map to open Profile (Profil).
  2. Open Settings (Ayarlar).
  3. Tap Delete account (Hesabı sil) at the bottom.
  4. Read the summary of what will be deleted and confirm. If you like, first use Download my data to keep a copy.

In short: Profile › Settings › Delete account (Turkish UI: Profil › Ayarlar › Hesabı sil)

When you confirm, you are signed out and deletion starts.

Can't access the app? Use email

If you lost your phone or can't install the app any more, write to [KVKK_EMAIL]:

  • Subject: Account deletion request
  • Send it from the email address on your account and include your username.
  • If you signed in with Apple or Google, give that account's email address.

We may ask for extra information to confirm the account is yours. Once verified, we complete the request within 30 days at the latest and let you know.

What is deleted

  • Account and profile: username, display name, email, sign-in connections
  • Runs, raw GPS tracks, loops and cell lists
  • Cell ownership and duels: your cells become empty, open duels close
  • Privacy zone, notification preferences and push tokens
  • Friendships, team membership, applause and feed entries
  • Watch and app connections (Garmin, Coros, Suunto, Polar, Apple Health, Wear OS, Strava) and their access tokens

What is kept, and for how long

  • Data is deleted or anonymised from our systems within 30 days of the request. Removal from backups takes up to [BACKUP RETENTION PERIOD].
  • Aggregate statistics that can't be linked to you (e.g. "total km run in Istanbul this week") may remain because they are anonymous.
  • Records we are legally required to keep (e.g. security logs, legal requests) are kept only for the required period.
  • For accounts closed for cheating, the minimum record needed to stop the same person re-registering may be kept for [ANTI-CHEAT RECORD RETENTION].

Deleting data without deleting your account

If you want only specific data deleted (for example a single run or a watch connection) without closing your account, write to [KVKK_EMAIL]; we handle it within the same time frames.
